The Virginia Republicans' lawsuit against that state's open primary law (Miller v. Brown) is before the 4th U. S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond.

On June 8, in Mississippi Democratic Party v. Barbour, a U. S. district judge declared that state's open primary law unconstitutional.

Good commentary on the Mississippi case is at <a href="http://yallpolitics.com/index.php/yp/post/us_district_court_rules_mississippi_democratic_party_may_close_its_primary_/" rel="nofollow">Yall Politics</a>.
